Arcadia Florida
Located on the winding banks of the Peace River, Arcadia is a living example of Florida’s past. Accommodations in the area are mainly campgrounds and RV parks, supplemented by chain hotels and motels and several quaint bed and breakfast inns. The main attraction in Arcadia is its wonderful rodeo, which is held in March, July and October. The rodeo has a long history here, beginning in 1929 when the event was started as a fundraiser for the American Legion. Canoeing the Peace River and just soaking up the small town atmosphere round out a visit to Arcadia.
